Password Plus – Kirstie Alley
Years before Kirstie Alley was advertising weight loss commercials, she made her mark on game shows. Here’s a clip of Kirstie Alley on Password Plus in 1980

@sdseals2076 Wait! I’m sure I’m completely wrong! I’ll bet I know how Kirstie got her start. She made it a point to be on a bunch of game shows from the 70’s, and I’d like to know how she did it. I’d love to be able to do that. Type this in because she’s on Match Game. Type in Match Game SYN – Part 1. How do people get on TV shows anyway?????

@sdseals2076 That’s a good question. Alan Ludden died in 1981. So, this was made before then (probably mid 70’s). Cheers started in about 1982, and Kirstie showed up in 1987. She didn’t marry Parker Stevenson of Hardy Boys fame until 1983. So, it was probably in 1982 when she did Star Trek 2 is when she got into show business, but I’m not sure.

I wonder how did Kirstie Allen get into show business from there, she did really good though.

Lucy was sharp as a tack. My wife was within breathing space–no liquor. NONE. Zero.
Lucy was also sweet as can be. Friendly, unpretentious, bright, and gracious, a real class act.
And she did not go around saying that great old ladies were drunk, in order to mine a cheap laugh.
Or maybe as an excuse for why she went home with nothing but three case of Mr. Bubble.

I was present when this was filmed.
Kirstie flat out lied in saying that Lucy was drunk. My wife was the “partner” (In English we say, “opponent”) some idiots here have said was slow. So we saw Lucy for four “days” (actually two tapings).
Yeah, my slow wife won $6,400, most of it in a 48-second Alphabetics with Lucy. Kirstie lost immediately and went home with about 300, which she spent on bonbons and Scientology.

I don’t see how Kirstie was ever selected as a game show contestant. Both here and on Match Game, she comes across as a stuck up bitch. Not likable at all.

I’m not so sure it’s luck. Some people make a lot of effort trying to get on game shows, or at least they did back then when there were so many on TV. And with them being on every day, the odds were every once in a while you’d score and get on one. There’s a guy who when by “M.J.” who was on Pyramid in the late ’80s. He was a big winner on that show. A couple years ago I saw a rerun of Super Password and that same guy was on there, too. He also wound up winning the big money there as well.

Dick is very mindful. He knew the “family tree” question, but realized Kristie already said part of it and wanted her to answer. That’s a real man there that we hardly see in 2010.

Meat and dairy – ANYONE knows they make mucous more than most vegan foods.
Some people in this world do not eat or drink (breatharians) which is an evolution up from veganism/raw foodist/liquidarian. Food is a taste pleasure, always has been and the protein brainwashing has destroyed more people’s bodies than anything. We are designed to be fit and creative, not food machines. Get fit, eat light, eat vegan, colon cleanse, oxygenate… Check my vids to learn more about breatharians

How does an elephant or rhino or gorilla hippo or bison or cow or grow to be so physically strong? Eating meat? They’re diets are completely 100 percent Vegan. So if your questioning vegan diets in terms of proteins and vitamins you already lost the argument.

@ironman711 the fact that performance enhancers ARE NOT VEGAN was my point. “when” he went vegan could mean he stopped after going vegan. even if he did take performance enhancers, there are tons of vegan athletes that DON’T use steroids, so one example doesn’t mean anything.

“had the juice” HAHAH
sorry I totally agree with Carl, I’m a vegan too, but it’s funny to hear a track star mention “juice”

if one justifies eating animals … and sees no difference to plants … why not being a cannibal? Whants the difference ?
By ShotAnimalAbusers on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
wtf fish get the fatty acids through plants in the ocean! im a vegan and when i was pregnant i wasnt taking any pills for vitamins, i wasn’t defficent in anything! theres ur damn proof!
By tickyul on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
Another reason to avoid the Vegan Diet is EFA deficiency, primarily DHA/EPA. Plant based Omega3 efa, known as Alpha Linolenic acid has to be converted for your body to use as DHA/EPA, this conversion rate in humans is very low, usually at a rate of 1-4%. Jesus, the saviour of the world ate fish, it should be ok for everyone else.

lol, eat more fruit and very minimal raw fats
By Jasonsadventures on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
@0madmadame Well I guess everyone is different, male, female, size, weight race and all that and how active they are and where you live and how good or bad the soil is
. But I’m usually deficient in most of the B group vitamins, never been much of a fan of vegetables though, I mostly eat fruit. I defiantly do better immediately on B supplements mostly in Winter. It’s something I wished I had of realised 15 years ago, you don’t have to agree, I was strictly vegan 8 years at one stage
By 0madmadame on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
@Jasonsadventures what are you talking about? I have been vegan for 4 years but I was vegetarian for my entire life. I have never had a deficiency in anything, i dont take suplements. meat does not contain very much nutrients at all, because the animal that it came from already used up most of the energy it consumed, and next to none of it remains in the meat. fruit and veg are a direct way to get everything you need, the easy way.

@acidpopproductions He was also taking performance enhancers when he went vegan. Look it up.
By ironman711 on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
Yet when he got gold medals when he went vegan, he was outed by using performance enhancers…Which accured AFTER he went vegetarian/vegan. He won most of his medals as a meat eater and without performance enhancers…
By lenoregajda on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
This is so true – I am close to 40 and I have recently become raw vegan – my athletic performance has improved, i sleep less – my overall well being has improved.
By Jasonsadventures on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
It’s pretty true, I’ve been vegetarian for 15 years and I’m quite a bit faster and stronger than 99% of people my size. However It is much harder to stop being deficient in certain vitamins however (You can’t be lazy with your eating). So in that way eating meat is good but there is a performance gain replacing it with plant foods if you have the dedication to do that

@acidpopproductions I don’t feel I was rude at all, I’m sorry you felt offended. You do now see that the title of the video is wrong though?
By acidpopproductions on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
@olasonn Uhm you don’t need to be rude, I was just going by what HE said, excuuuuussssee me for not being obsessed with when Carl Lewis got medals.
By olasonn on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
@acidpopproductions He didn’t win any Olympic gold medals after becoming vegan, they were all won prior to that. Is that really so hard to understand?
By acidpopproductions on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
@olasonn You’re confusing me. He says that his Olympic medals came because his best performances were while he was practicing veganism. I don’t understand what you’re trying to disprove.
By olasonn on Jul 27, 2010 | Reply
@acidpopproductions So? What I have addressed is the title of the clip, which is wrong.
